Wherever you go, go with all your heart. For some of you, a big season of your life is coming to a close. All of the “when am I actually going to use this?” thoughts that run through your head as you sit in a class that has no correlation to your desired career path. And, all the times you’ve been asked the dreaded question of “what do you want to do for the rest of your life following graduation?”. The time has finally come. Although, there were many frustrations and doubt that came along with completing your education. You persevered and gained so much insight along the way. Be proud of yourself. Your Future is now yours, go live your dreams and seek adventure because there’s nothing you can’t do if you put your mind to it.
Below, a few recent 2018 graduates share their thought’s on graduation, their plans post-degree and which Lillian and Co. bracelet has been a constant motivation for them throughout their journey.
“The bracelet that is inspiring me the most post Disney graduation is YOU’LL BE IN MY HEART for a few different reasons. I did the Disney College Program not only for myself, but also in honor of my grandfather who passed away a few years ago. He always encouraged and inspired me to do anything and everything. This program pushed me to my limits on some days but knowing that he was watching over me helped me. Disney will always be in my heart and my home away from home and everyone I met on the Program will also be in my heart as well!
After this graduation, I plan to finish my degree in marketing since I only have a few more classes and then go to law school!”

“The Lillian bracelet that inspires me most after graduating is THERE’S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW, which is the quote I put on my graduation cap. This quote inspires me to look to the future, and remember that every day brings new opportunity, as I begin my new dream. I graduated from Stockton University with a B.A. in Communications this past May. Throughout my time in college I was Vice President of Admissions Ambassadors, the campus tour guide organization at my school, and was the photography and social media director for Admissions Ambassadors. In just a few short weeks, I’m moving to Orlando, Florida to pursue my dream career and can’t wait to see what opportunities lie ahead! It took a ton of hard work, persistence, and dedication to get to this point, facing many challenges along the way. My advice to any future graduates is to never lose sight of your dream, and follow your passion no matter what. Focus on the people who will help you grow and become your best self. Passion is everything, and it is so important throughout your college journey to follow that passion, no matter what.”

“This is my second bachelors degree. My first degree is in Health Studies. In addition, I now have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing! A Lillian & Co bracelet that is inspiring me post grad is GO LIVE YOUR DREAM. This phrase has helped to push me through the long shifts, trying situations, and sleepless nights. The next few weeks are filled with studying for my boards to become a Registered Nurse, but my dreams of helping others push me through. I’m forever grateful to have had the opportunity to pursue two degrees so I can be the best that I can be for my future patients. My next dream is to work as a nurse in the emergency department and return to school to become a nurse practitioner in critical care. Thank you for creating products that provide daily inspiration and help me to further my dreams!”

“Walt Disney once said “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. ” I stumbled my way through 6 years of college, working multiple jobs to support myself, earning my place as a women amongst my Political Science peers, I went against family morals by moving in with the love of my life. There were plenty of road blocks along the way, however I KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Here I am post grad (finally), my parents cried as I turned my tassel, I’m remodeling my first home with my forever person; my Lillian & Co. motivational bracelets as well as curiosity kept me on my path of individuality and success. Now it’s my time to GO LIVE MY DREAM, get a job with my local government and show everyone it is possible to create your own fairytale and make a difference.”

“As a University of Florida student I had one goal: to find a degree that would prepare me to be the best Cast Member I could be. People would ask me: ‘Madison, what’s your passion? What do you want to do for the rest of your life?’ My answer was simple: Disney! This lead me to pursue a BS in Tourism, Event, and Recreation Management with a specialization in Tourism and Hospitality. Whew, a mouthful indeed! I was hoping this degree would help me to decide which avenue of the Company I would like to work for, but as most people my age, I’m still not sure! What I’ve learned most from my college experience is that it’s truly okay to not always have the “correct” answers. Life is a learning experience. If we expect ourselves to always know which path to take or which person to pursue, we truly won’t learn anything new about ourselves. For my first years in college, I had a strict of a plan that really closed me off to life changing experiences that would have helped me grow much sooner. I’m currently a Cast Member working in Retail Operations, but I’ll be going back to school in the Fall to pursue a MS in Management. After that, I plan to apply to professional internships with the Walt Disney Company so I can continue my dream of making magic! I believe it is important to let yourself make mistakes, meet people you never thought you would meet, and take many many leaps of faith. Never compare yourself to others, because each of us has our own path. And always tell yourself —I CAN GO THE DISTANCE.”
